Niagara Falls

From Toronto we drove down to Niagara Falls which is only a short distance. We stopped of in Niagara on the Lake, which is a small little town on the way to the falls. The main street there has small quaint shops lining the street, I would say are made for the older generation, not really my cup of tea. From Niagara on the Lake we got to Niagara Falls just after lunch. The view from the hotel is amazing, we stayed in the Marriot over looking the falls. The rest of the day was spent relaxing with a few glasses of wine.

Day 2 at Niagara Falls we managed to get all the touristy stuff done. We did the Maid of the Mist (a must if your ever here), the cave walk (not so great, probably better from the US side) and walked down the river to the rapids (insane level 6 rapids, have to be seen to be believed). This took up most of the day, although if you were in a hurry you could probably get it all done in a few hours. The night was spent having a very nice steak dinner and a few pints of beer.
